Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly inaugurated the first edition of the environmental and climate forum on Tuesday. The forum aims to review investment systems and available investment opportunities in the green economy and climate resilience fields.

The forum’s platform provides information to businessmen, developers, investors as well as funding institutions about investment opportunities in Egypt, in addition to initial feasibility studies in the fields of waste management, sustainable energy, environmental tourism, bio-industry as well as food production.

The forum is organized in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) through the “Inclusive Green Growth in Egypt” project, and is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development (SDC).

The Environmental and Climate Investment Forum aligns with the government's commitment to green investments, aiming to secure sustainable livelihoods and safeguard the rights of present and future generations.

Moreover, the forum corresponds with Egypt's efforts to bolster the private sector's role in the economy, leading to sustainable economic growth and the creation of environmentally friendly job prospects.

The primary objective of the forum is to showcase a range of favorable investment prospects for the private sector. These opportunities encompass various sectors such as sustainable energy, waste recycling, eco-tourism, the bio-based economy, sustainable agriculture, and food production.
